Belle Mare beach is where mornings feel extra special. This stunning stretch of coastline is famous for its peaceful atmosphere and jaw-dropping sunrises.

Flic and flac beach

Flic en Flac is a lively spot that offers the perfect blend of relaxation and fun. From local food stalls serving freshly made samosas to vibrant coral reefs waiting to be explored, there’s always something to do here. And when the day sets, the sunsets are pure magic.

Pomponette beach

Hidden away on the southern coast, Pomponette Beach feels like your own little slice of paradise. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. When we visited, we had the whole beach to ourselves, it truly felt like a secret paradise.

Gris gris beach

Gris Gris Beach is a wild beauty on the southern coast, where dramatic cliffs meet powerful waves. Unlike many other beaches in Mauritius, Gris Gris isn’t about swimming, it’s about the beautiful viewpoint over the beach. Swimming is at your own risk here, we wouldn’t recommend it!

Don’t miss the nearby ‘le roche qui pleure', where waves crashing against the cliffs create an incredible view. It’s a small 15 minutes walk.

Le Morne beach

This beach is part of a larger bay, framed by the dramatic Le Morne Brabant mountain that provides a breathtaking backdrop. To get here, take a short walk that rewards you with incredible views. It’s an adventurer’s paradise, with kite surfing and other water sports adding to the excitement. Don’t miss the chance to hike Le Morne Brabant in the morning, then reward yourself with a refreshing swim at the beach. Unfortunetly the mountain was closed during our stay, due to the cyclone.

La Cambuse

La Cambuse beach is a gem that's also open to the public, making it an ideal spot for anyone visiting Mauritius. Seriously, if you're heading to this paradise, add it to your list! If your looking for a place to stay, we can recommend Anantara Iko resort. It’s right in front of the beach and has the perfect relax spot for the day.

La Prairie beach

One of the best activities we did in Mauritius was the lagoonflight: a 15-minute seaplane ride priced at 150 EUR per person. You get to experience one of the most remarkable sights during your flight. From your high point in the sky, you can spot sea turtles swimming in the clear waters. This was absolutely an amazing experience! The flight start at La Prairie beach and after the flight you can relax on the beach with breathaking views of le Morne in the distance.

Blue Bay Beach

One of the island's best destinations for snorkeling in Mauritius. This protected area is known for its stunning coral reefs, a rainbow of marine life, and crystal-clear waters. We spotted so many cool fishies: parrotfish, angelfish …

Snorkeling in Mauritius, Blue bay beach

Mont Choisy beach

Visit Mont Choisy Beach in the north of Mauritius to fully immerse yourself in the island's natural beauty and serene atmosphere. This beach is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning surrounding. By midday, local vendors start serving a variety of delicious food options at the beach. Don't miss out on trying some local street food like "Dholl Puri" or "Roti", both are tasty and affordable.

Ile aux Cerfs

Although we didn’t make it to Ile aux Cerfs on this trip due to time constraints, it’s one of Mauritius’s most iconic spots. This island, accessible by boat, offers pristine white sands, calm lagoons, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. For an unforgettable experience, you can book a catamaran cruise that comes fully equipped with snorkeling gear and even a BBQ lunch on board. It’s the kind of place that promises total relaxation with a touch of adventure. Make sure to plan ahead!

Ile aux Cerfs

So, that’s all the beaches we visited! Each beach has its own charm and offering something unique for every traveler.
